Ikigai
Ikigai is a Japanese concept meaning "a reason for being". Everyone has an ikigai. Finding it requires a deep and often lengthy search. This search is regarded as being important, since it is believed that the discovery of one's ikigai brings satisfaction and meaning to life.
Ikigai is a convergence of 4 primary elements:
-
What you love (your passion)
-
What the world needs (your mission)
-
What are you good at (your vocation)
-
What you can get paid for (your profession)
Discovering your own ikigai is said to bring fulfillment, happiness, and help you live longer.
To help you find your ikigai, ask yourself these questions:
-
What do I love?
-
What am I good at?
-
What can I be paid for - or what could transform into my future hustle?
-
What does the world need?
